Professor Sir Peter Horby is Oxford University’s Professor of Emerging Infectious Diseases and Global Health. He is a collaborator on a project in the clinical and infection prevention pillar of APPRISE.
Professor Sir Peter Horby established the Epidemic disease Research Group Oxford (ERGO), an international program of clinical and epidemiological research to prepare for and respond to emerging infections. His work includes research on a range of epidemic diseases including Ebola virus, avian influenza or “bird flu” (H5N1 and H7N9 strains), Middle East Respiratory Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), and Enterovirus 71 (EV71).
