Kiarra is a proud Gamilaroi, Wonnarua, Gadigal woman and has strong connections to Yuin Country, in Jervis Bay Region/Shoalhaven.
Kiarra is a Senior Policy Officer in the Animal and Vector-borne diseases team in the One Health Branch (Ministry of Health). Her role includes addressing health protection issues related to Animal and Vector borne diseases for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities, and advocating for culturally safe and inclusive approaches to policy developed. Kiarra has also previously completed the Aboriginal Population Health Training Initiative traineeship during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kiarra is a member of the FIrst Nations Pandemic Research PreparednesS NeTwork (FIRST) Governance Group.
