Hans Netter

Professor Hans Netter is a medical scientist at the Molecular Research & Development division of the Virus Identification Laboratory of the Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL). He was a collaborator with the former APPRISE Centre of Research Excellence.

Professor Netter’s research has focused on biochemical and structural modifications of virus-derived bio-nanoparticles for designing improved immunisations and vaccination tools, and virus-host cell interactions. He has worked on hepatitis B, C and D viruses, and members of the family Paramyxoviridae, such as Hendra virus and Nipah virus.
