Gail Carson

Dr Gail Carson is Director of Network Development at the International Severe Acute Respiratory and Emerging Infection Consortium (ISARIC) and Chair of GOARN. She was a collaborator with the former APPRISE Centre of Research Excellence.

Dr Carson is medically trained in infectious diseases and has worked with the World Health Organisation on viral haemorrhagic fevers, SARS and H5N1. She has an ongoing interest in emerging pathogen outbreaks. She is also on the steering Committee of the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN).
