Dr Gail Carson is Head of the International Severe Acute Respiratory and Emerging Infection Consortium (ISARIC) Global Support Centre. She is a collaborator on a project in the clinical and infection prevention pillar of APPRISE.
Dr Carson is medically trained in infectious diseases and has worked with the World Health Organisation on viral haemorrhagic fevers, SARS and H5N1. She has an ongoing interest in emerging pathogen outbreaks. She is also on the steering Committee of the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN).
