Frank Wong

Dr Frank Wong is a molecular microbiologist at the CSIRO Australian Animal Health Laboratory in Geelong, Australia. He is was a collaborator with the former APPRISE Centre of Research Excellence.

Dr Wong’s research interests lie in molecular epidemiology, phylogenetics and virus evolution, and studying the continuing diversification of influenza and other virus pathogens of significance to animal health through regional surveillance. He serves as a World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) reference expert for highly pathogenic and low pathogenic avian influenza.
