Associate Professor Colleen Lau is a clinician and infectious disease epidemiologist, with special interest in emerging infectious diseases and neglected tropical diseases. She is based at the Department of Global Health at the Research School of Population Health at ANU. Associate Professor Lau is a project lead on a COVID-19 project for APPRISE.
Associate Professor Lau’s research projects focus on answering practical questions in clinical management of infectious diseases and operational questions on improving strategies to solve public health problems. She has special interests in travel medicine and tropical medicine as well as global disease elimination programs, spatial epidemiology, disease mapping, and the impact of global environmental change on infectious diseases.
