May 28, 2020

In a paper in the Medical Journal of Australia, APPRISE researcher Kristy Crooks and co-authors have explained how First Nations people are leading the way in the response to COVID-19 in Australia.

Kristy is a proud Aboriginal woman of the Euahlayi nation and has a spiritual connection to the Wiradjuri people. She is a member of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group on COVID-19.

The paper states: “The Advisory Group has provided strategic input into the development of the National Management and Operational Plan for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Populations, and has made significant contribution to the COVID-19 Series of National Guidelines.”
