Expressions of interest are invited for a Consultation Co-ordinator for the Australian Partnership for Preparedness Research on Infectious diseaSe Emergencies (APPRISE) at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity
APPRISE was formed in 2016 to undertake research to address major public health, laboratory and clinical questions to inform Australia’s emergency response to infectious diseases. APPRISE is funded as a Centre of Research Excellence by the National Health and Medical Research Council and the current grant ends in December 2021.
APPRISE is seeking funding options and financial models to ensure the network will have sustained funding beyond 2021 to support essential research needed for preparedness, response and recovery from infectious disease emergencies.
An experienced consultant is required to work with key APPRISE researchers and stakeholders to develop a framework for future funding models and a five-year plan for APPRISE.
The consultation process will ideally take place from November 2020 to March 2021 (5 months).
In their Expressions of Interest, service providers should provide a short summary of their proposed approach to the consultation process, which is anticipated to include workshops, interviews, a review of project objectives and an assessment of funding options.
The Terms of Reference provide more details about requirements and how to apply.
Expressions of Interest must be forwarded to Dr Miranda Smith – miranda.smith@unimelb.edu.au – by 5pm AEDT 19th October 2020.
