With our first 18 months of operation almost behind us, we would like to thank all our partners, stakeholders and supporters and wish everyone a successful 2018.
APPRISE is gearing up for a busy program of collaborative research and capacity building in 2018, after a comprehensive consultation and research prioritisation period.
Here are some our highlights so far:
- The APPRISE stakeholder consultation was completed to ensure Australia is equipped for a more coordinated, effective and evidence-based response to infectious disease outbreaks. Read the APPRISE Stakeholder Consultation Report
- Two articles were published in the academic literature, one in the Medical Journal of Australia and the other in Communicable Diseases Intelligence.
- The inaugural APPRISE Annual Meeting was held in August at the University of Sydney – face-to-face meeting of researchers and some key stakeholders to discuss the background and potential of APPRISE research areas.
- APPRISE Secretariat positions were filled with Drs Miranda Smith, Gillian Scott and Julie Milland appointed as Project Officer, Education Officer and Communication Officer, respectively.
